Acting Classes



KidzACT Classes
are 8 week courses designed with the young actor in mind. These meet once a week and use dramatic play, song, dance, improvisation, and scripted performance to teach and develop the fundamentals of acting. Each 8 week session revolves around a theme and culminates in a short performance of an original play!

Fee: KidzACT is $65 per session
Wednesdays: 4:30-5:30 Grades k-2, 5:30-6:30 Grades 3-5

Sept 4 - Oct 23 Monster School. The first day at a new school can be scary, but what if your class is full of monsters!? Dress rehearsal October 24 5:30-6:30
Performances October 25 and 26 at 6:00

Oct. 30-Dec 18 North Pole or bust! Hop the train to visit penguins, elves, the Abominable snowman and a few reindeer! You never know what chilly willy surprises will pop up. Performances Dec. 20 6:00pm, Dec 21 2:00pm

Jan 8 - Feb 26 The Loooooove Boat. Get groovy as we take a "3 hour tour" on the HMS Friendship Cruiseliner. Dress rehearsal Feb 27 5:30-6:30
Performances Feb 28/ Mar 1 at 6:00

Mar 5-Apr 23 Bug Juice and Crazy Campers. Bring your boots and butterfly nets as we get out into nature and make new discoveries! Dress rehearsal April 24 5:30-6:30
Performances April 25 at 6:00pm and 26 at 2:00pm



ACTeen Stage Lab classes
are designed to help teen actors in grades 6-12 build skills and thoroughly explore more challenging material. Each course centers on a theme and culminates in a showcase performance.
Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:00pm (8 week courses.)
Fee: $80 per session

Sept 4 - Oct 23 Dead On. Explore the high drama, and slapstick comedy of your favorite death scenes in Theatre, Film, Tv, and Literature. Includes basic stage combat and pratfalls.

Oct. 30-Dec 18 Comical Con. Think on your feet and throw out the script! Learn improv structures and sketch comedy popularized by shows like Who’s Line? and SNL

Jan 8 - Feb 26 Method in the Madness. An over-view of basic acting methods and styles.. Learn to breakdown characters and scenes to build a more realistic performance.

Mar 5-Apr 23 Street Smarts. Develop the bravado and swagger it takes to perform street style monologs, imrov scenes, performance art, and flashmobs.
