Limelight Theatre Names Its Studio Theatre Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre

04.30.2008

St. Augustine Fl- The Limelight Theatre is proud to announce the naming of its new studio theatre, The Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre. As part of the theatre’s continuing Fundraising program, the Naming Campaign is proving to be a successful start in the raising of funds for the now completed theatre renovation and new studio theatre. Dr. Mildred Koger and her husband Dr. Jerry Gamache have generously donated the money necessary for the studio theatre. Dr. Gamache retired from Flagler College Psychology Department in 2006 and Dr. Koger retired from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind as a School Psychologist. Both have been ongoing supporters of the Limelight Theatre.

To date the Naming Campaign has brought in $100,000, which includes the funding of the Grand Lobby, the Concession and Kitchen Area, a Ford F150 pickup truck, the welcome Foyer and Porch, the Theatre Green Room, Front Columns and Benches, and several of the Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre’s 70 chairs. The goal of $550,000 is still quite a way in the future, however the campaign offers many levels of contributions ranging from chairs of $100 each to the Main Stage Theatre of $50,000. The theatre continues to seek donations of money and volunteer time and energy, as it is their belief that the performing arts exist in St. Johns County only through the will and generosity of its people.
