Limelight
Theatre will be rocking to the Time Warp when Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show takes the stage
June 4 – 20. This long running musical
originally opened in 1973 in
Due
to the nature of the show, adult audiences are definitely recommended for this
cult classic. Protagonists Brad and
Janet suffer car troubles during a driving rainstorm and are forced to take
refuge at a spooky old castle. When they
enter the castle, they are helplessly thrust into a bizarre world featuring
murderous mad scientists, transvestites and lots and lots of fishnets.
“The
Rocky Horror Show is just incredible,” said Limelight Artistic Director Beth
Lambert, who is also directing the show. “It’s loud, funny, raucous and bawdy. And it’s definitely not a show meant for young or sensitive viewers.”
Cast
members include Brennan Holness, Jessica
Alexander, Blake Osner, Catlin Ward, Jimmy Alexander, Milan Alley, Cathy
O’Brien, Leonard Alterman, Thomas Muniz, Sean Dean, Rae Wilson, Hope Ausiello,
Butler Robertson, Samantha Perez, Dylan Curran, Haleigh Owens, Daniel Vargas
and Rachel Robertson. Shelli Long is
Musical Director.
The
Rocky Horror Show runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30. There is a special 11 pm show on Saturday,
