For more than 20 years Limelight Theatre has been entertaining St. Augustine and the Northeast Florida community and the tradition continues! This volunteer-led theatre has grown from humble beginnings when founders Anne Kraft and Jean Rahner staged their first production at the Monson Bayfront Lodge to a thriving year-round community center for the theatre arts. With seven main stage productions featuring year-round performances, Limelight Theatre fills a community need for professional-quality theatre.
The Matuza Main Stage, an intimate theatre venue seating 125, is the venue for Limelight Theatre’s annual season performances, which includes spectacular Broadway musicals, hilarious comedies, thought-provoking dramas and cutting edge plays from new playwrights.
