For two performances only -- February 17 and 19 -- contemporary jazz singer Gina Pontoni lights up the Matuza Main Stage.

ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA -- Enjoy a jazz voice that rivals the best in the world on Limelight Theatre's Matuza Main Stage this February! For two performances only, the Limelight Theatre Guild presents Gina Pontoni in Concert! Lauded by reviewers as "England's Sweetheart of Jazz", Gina has travelled the world over during her singing career with appearances at The Blue Note in Las Vegas, Caesar's in Atlantic City and some of the most prestigious cruise lines in the world including Seabourn, Silversea, Radisson and Holland America.

Pontoni's dynamic show includes Broadway showstoppers to the songs from the Big Band Era and features an array of spectacular costume changes. Accompanied by a five-piece show band featuring Shelli Long on keyboards, Warren Kus on trumpet, Doug Beard on drums, Brad Morse on bass and Danie Dickinson on saxophone, the concert features two 50-minute sets jam-packed with popular showtunes, contemporary ballads, jazz numbers and even a Beatles' medley. Like the Fab Four, Pontoni hails from Northernmost England, the village of Hartlepool. In her late 20s she forged a career as a singer out of sheer will and determination to follow her childhood dream.

Performances are Friday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 19 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for this fundraising event hosted by Limelight Theatre's Guild.
