St. Augustine, Fla., Feb. 13, 2026  — Limelight Theatre is proud to present God of Carnage, the biting and hilarious dark comedy by Yasmina Reza, playing on the Mainstage March 5 through March 15, 2026 at the theatre on Old Mission Avenue. God of Carnage is a sharply funny look at civility, conflict, and the human condition, and promises audiences an evening of thought-provoking laughter.

The production is expertly directed by Andrea McCook, with assistant direction by Angelica Parisen. McCook brings a wealth of experience and a strong community connection to the Limelight stage. A graduate of Flagler College and longtime theatre educator and mentor in Northeast Florida, McCook’s deep artistic roots and commitment to ensemble storytelling make her a dynamic creative force for this production.

The cast includes:

  • Cathy O’Brien as Veronica Novak

  • Jonny O’Leary as Michael Novak

  • Hunter Showalter as Alan Raleigh

  • Leah Page as Annette Raleigh

Several members of the cast and creative team share strong ties to the local arts community and Flagler College, bringing both talent and regional pride to this adult-themed production.

In God of Carnage, two sets of parents meet to discuss a playground fight between their sons — but polite conversation quickly descends into chaos as civility unravels and true personalities emerge. The result is a bold, hilarious, and uncomfortably honest look at modern relationships and human foibles.

“It’s astonishing how quickly civility can unravel when our children are involved,” said Sherrie Provence, executive director of Limelight Theatre. “This play reveals how easily otherwise reasonable adults can be triggered, shedding their polished exteriors and exposing the raw, primal instincts beneath. It’s funny, yes—but it’s also uncomfortably honest about the human condition.”
